Today was brilliantly sunny and nice and warm and perfectly flat as we sailed out into the fjord. Some Whooper swans joined us on our sail out, flying far above us in formation. We didn't have to wait very long before we caught sight of the wonderful large blow of the humpback whale. On all of our tours today we experienced amazingly close encounters with these fantastic animals when they came up only a few meters away. At one point three whales suddenly surfaced just behind the boat almost giving our rib boat captain a heart attack! Five whales also surface all together nice and close to our large boat Hafsulan. At one point a whale surfacing in a group of four also decided to roll over and give us a wave! We were able to recognise many different individuals today including: Fjall, Dark Knight, Bear, Interstellar & some new ones. What a truly brilliant day to be out on the fjord.

It was a bit cloudy as we sailed out but it was low lying cloud so it did begin to clear up as we sailed. Unfortunately, the northern lights were not very strong tonight but we were still able to catch a glimpse of the in the sky and even better through our camera lenses. As the northern lights did not show themselves very well we offered our complimentary tickets to our passengers so they are able to come on another one of our northern lights trips for free.
