Whale Watching: Today was lovely winter day, the air was cold and still when we sailed out on Eyjarförður. The sea conditions were much better than the day before, now we could enjoy a calm and smooth sailing. When we reached Hjalteyri we spotted a pair of humpback whales. When we got closer we recognized them from yesterday’s tour, Samsung’ and ’Porthos’! This turned out to be the calm before the storm, soon after we got back to land it started sowing heavily and the wind picked up. This was a perfect tour before Christmas and now we can stay in while the storm passes.
Northern Lights: The weather may not have been in our favour tonight, strong wind and rocky sea but the light certainly entertained us throughout the whole tour! Dancing green, pink and purple colours lit up the sky above us. It was easy to forget the cold wind with such a powerful show!
