It was a beautifully sunny day with little wind in Eyjafjordur, which made for wonderful sighting conditions. I did not think that there could be more whales in the fjord than yesterday, but how wrong I was - we estimated at least 20 whales today! So happy to see many of our favourites in the fjord like Nonni and Guillemot hanging out with some newer individuals too such as Cousteau. During the afternoon we saw some impressive lob-tailing by 2 individual humpbacks as well as having 3 whales interacting with each other only 50 m in front of the boat, a spectacular sight! On the evening tour we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset and, to top it all off, 4 breaches by 2 individuals on our way home! What a fantastic hump day.
