Another beautiful day to be out on the fjord, plenty of birdlife to see, guillemots, razorbills, little auks, eider ducks, long-tailed ducks and even a red-throated diver in the distance. The swell was high today as we sailed close and around Hrisey but nice and calm between Hjalteyri and Akureyri. We saw a few harbour porpoises, 2-3 individuals on the west coast of the Hrisey. Unfortunately, it was only porpoises seen on this tour so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to come again in the next two years. They liked the adventure and the birdlife and of course the porpoises but we were all a little disappointed about not seeing whales or dolphins on this tour.
