Today we sailed out on our tour at 1 o‘clock from the harbor at Árskógsströnd, the weather was good and sea condition was smooth, however closer to the open sea it was a bit rough. We saw a Blue whale close to Hrólfssker and had a nice time with that individual. This is the forth time that we know about having a Blue whale here in our fjord since we started sailing in Eyjafjörður and it is quite unique to see this amazing animal up close and seeing how big they really are. We also enjoyed the sightseeing here in Eyjafjörður as we were sailing out the fjord. On our way back to Akureyri the sea condition was good and we had a smooth tour. Another pleasant day here in the North of Iceland with the whales.
