The sun was shining brightly on the Icelandic Seaman Day 2018 and so was the fjord in general. It is incredible how fast nature is blossoming around us, on land and in the water. Hence, most of the animals we are currently encountering are busy feeding. And so was the humpback whale which we spent a lot of time with today on all of our tours. We have not identified this particular individual yet, but already started to get to know it very well since it came so close to our boat Ambassador. We watched it eagerly and hope it will stay in the area as it was just outside of Svalbardseyri when we left it at the end of our last tour. Gorgeous day with a magnificent Eyjafjördur humpback.
