Today the fjord was wonderfully flat, and the sailing was a breeze. We saw a beautiful humpback with a wonderful dark fluke. All humpbacks have a unique pattern on the underside of their fluke, which can be used to identify an individual. The individual we saw on this mornings tour is a new animal to the fjord and therefore, has not yet been named. We have a suggestion box onboard if any of our passengers can think of a good name. On a few of our tours today we were also delighted to see the wonderful Northern bottle-nosed whales as they surfaced together. These whales are easily identified by their grey colouring, large bulbous head and large dorsal fin on the back of its back. A lovely day to be out on the water.
