Yet another joyous day on the fjord. The weather was fantastic on both of our tours, with a calm fjord, very little wind and the sun shining down on us. Our wonderful humpback whale Iskona was out to delight us today with some truly terrific close encounters. This wonderful whale surfaced many times and on occasion very close. In the afternoon tour we had to sail much further north, close to Hrisey, where we could finally see a different whale who delighted us with some tail launching.
Harbour porpoises also popped up throughout the day and even started leaping at times bringing almost all of their cute little bodies out of the water which is a super rare thing to witness. Another wild day in the wilderness.
