Another day of sailing out in beautiful winter scenery of Eyafjordur - snowy landscape in the Fjord looks just stunning now. We left the harbour on time from Akureyri and it took us not longer than half an hour to find a Humpback Whale travelling alone a little bit further north than Svalbardseyri area. The whale was active, moving around a lot. We had many opportunities to see him surfacing and one encounter was very special as the whale approached us and we got to see him very close just on the side of the boat! Tomorrow we will not go out on the morning tour but 13:00 is going out and we simply can’t wait for that:-)
