On a cloudy afternoon we sailed out from Akureyri harbour in a bit bumpy conditions, but it didn’t take us more than 20 minutes until we spotted our first blow. It was a Humpback whale just behind industrial area of the harbour and it is a new individual in our area! We decided to keep him company for few next surfacings as we wanted to take good id pictures but while waiting for him we spotted 2 more blows in the direction of Hjalteri. We went there to check that out finiding 2 more Humpback Whales and that was our well known Iskona and Captain Underpants. On our way back we spotted one more Humpback whale, another new one so 4 Humpback Whales in total today! Great day to be out there!
