Captain Underpants in the Fjord!! Yes, that’s right - one of the whales we’ve seen in our area for the first time this year in september we named “Captain underpants”. It was a name that one of our captains came up with due to a a mark on the fluke that may look a bit like an outline of an underwear. Today it was another beautiful day with flat seas in the Fjord. We found a Humpback whale just before Hjalteyri area and stayed with him as he seemed to be very curious of us and active. We were also lucky to see a small pod of harbour porpoises but they were moving fast and disapeared quickly. If you have any good ideas on how to name a whale we still have bunch of them that need names! feel free to email us your ideas at info@whalewatchingakureyri.is
