In Icelandic winter conditions we got to sail along the fjord today, we encountered a blizzard and a little swell but nothing too bad. Luckily the blizzard cleared up and we were able to admire the wonderful snow covered landscape and take a closer look at the small villages dotted along the fjord. There were some wonderful common guillemots spotted throughout the tour along with some seagulls (Icelandic, common and black headed gulls), which were usually following the fishing boats hoping to have a few cast offs. Unfortunately, no whales were seen but a seal did pop up very briefly to say hi. All passengers were given complimentary tickets so they can come back again for free and hopefully see some whales. Even though we didn´t get to see some larger cetaceans its always a pleasure to sail the fjord.
