Wednesday, 25 December 2019 Christmas Day

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! What a spectacular tour we has today! We headed out at 11:00 on this Christmas morning and were greeted with a beautiful golden pink glow radiating from the sky and bathing the snow covered landscape in a picture perfect hue. It didn´t take us long to find the whales today, after only about 10 minutes we found two wonderful humpback whales. These whales we know very well indeed, our beloved Aretha Frankfin and the majestic Iskona delighted us for the whole tour today. Surfacing many times and sometimes very very close. On our fish finder we could see that the area was jam packed with fish and therefore these whales were most likely gorging themselves of their Christmas dinner, consisting of small shoaling herring. As we had been with these whales for sometime we checked out the geothermal waterfall and headed back to harbour, which only took 5 minutes.
