Today we sailed out with amazing conditions, the water was flat as a mirror and the sun was shining. We had amazing views of the snow capped mountains around the fjord. During all tours we encountered our friend Depill, the humpback whale that has showed up every tour the last days and that we already know since 2017. Since yesterday we actually know the sex of Depill because we managed to take a picture of the genitals of this humpback whale. So now we know that Depill is a lady. During the last tour we went out further north and encountered 3 more humpback whales of which we know two. They were Giljagaur and Right hook.

During the first tour we also encountered a very relaxed minke whale. This is a smaller type of baleen whale that we regularly see in the fjord. Often minke whales can be a bit shy but this minke whale actually seemed curious and came towards the boat.

A beautiful day to be out on the water!
