We surely have winter wonderland here in Akureyri today, we had strong winds and snow but were able to sail out because our crew found a whale close to town were the sea state was better then further out the fjord. Not disappointing us we saw the humpback whale Ískona while leaving the harbor and had a really nice time with the whale who most likely feeding while we enjoyed looking at it, our fish finder on the boat showed us there was a lot of fish in the area. The whale was quite curious and came up close to the boat so we could observe it closely in it’s natural habitats.
