A perfect day to sail the fjord today, and as you can see we found our lovely Iskona the humpback whale super close, just next to Akureyri. We were not even 10 minutes into the tour when we found our beloved cetacean. Our star was filling her beautiful belly full of fish and therefore was surfacing very regularly, giving us a wonderful sight of her body before going for deeper dives. The weather was nice and sunny, and rather warm with clear skies and no wind. After enjoying Iskonas company for quite some time we went to check out the awesome geothermal waterfall across from the harbour, where there are also a lot of cormorants nesting which is quite a sight to see. Yet another wonderful day out on the fjord.
