Yet another whale filled day in Eyjafjörður. On heading out on our morning express tour we first encountered a wonderful minke whale which surfaced quite wonderfully not far away from us. About 5 minutes later we were viewing some fantastic humpback whales. These whales were surfacing very regularly and even shocked us one or twice with some very close encounters. At one time during the tour 5-6 humpback whales surfaced all at the same time so we were surrounded by these magnificent creatures. One even decided to tail lob too! On our evening classic departure we found the fantastic three and again they were surfacing just wonderfully. coming up many times very close to the boat! All of our passengers were thrilled to see and hear them so close!
