Today we really felt the breeze of winter coming from up north. We sailed out under a cloudy sky but we found 4 Humpback whales! As soon as we left Akureyri it started snowing and the visibility has gone down so much we couldn’t see the coastline at all. We kept on heading north and slowed down south of Hrisey when sudenly a whale popped up right in front of us just meters away from the boat! We stayed with him for a while noticing another blow in the distance and went to check it. Two more whales popped up in the distance and while we were on the way to get closer they started coming to the surface together. Beautiful winter experience!
