What a delightful day out on the fjord. On all our tours today we enjoyed a wonderful minke whale, who surfaced just perfectly allowing us all to get a great look at this animal. After seeing this animal quite a few times we searched on and found the perfect pilot whales, this large pod of 25-30 whales thrilled us with many wonderful encounters. On all tours we watched in delight as they surfaced all round the boat. There was even a little calf who was porpoising out of the water and trying to get his mum or big sister to play with him. It was so spectacular to watch and very adorable. With the beautiful sun shining down on us not only did we get to enjoy so many whales but also a lot of bird life including: red necked phalarope, northern fulmar, great northern divers, common guillemot, black-legged kittiwakes and arctic tern.
