A beautiful day to sail out the fjord today. The sea state was great and so was the sailing. In the morning tours we encountered two Humpback Whales calmly feeding close to Dalvík and enjoyed seeing them in their natural habitats. In the afternoon tours we saw another and a new individual Humpback whale north of Hrísey. Later in the day we sailed out again and saw a lovely Minke Whale between Hrísey and Hrólfssker. The whale surfaced a lot around us and did not dive very long at a time. We even got to see his or her baleen plates. Our express tour got to see the humpback whale lunge feeding which was super exciting. The midnight tour was extra beautiful tonight with a flat fjord, the midnight sun and the beautiful pilot whales, which surfaced many times. There was even a baby one playing around the boat.
Perfect day for whale watching in Eyjafjörður!
