Greetings from Eyjafjörður, we have had the most spectacular weather last couple of days and today was no different, calm winds and warm weather ideal conditions for sailing around the fjord.

In our morning departures we were met with a massive pod of white beaked dolphins and and old friend called Mariner who is an impressive Humpback whale, first spotted in 2016 in Icelandic waters.

Our afternoon departure we again encountered white beaked dolphins who where breaching the waters surface like there was no tomorrow and around the same area we also met two humpback whales, one of the humpbacks was again Mariner and the other a new individual which we decided to call Siggi after our Chief Engineer who is a jolly old feller like this new whale in the fjord.

In our 17:00 departure we had some onshore winds like usual in the fjord at this time of day, but that did not stop us to again meet a lot of jumping white beaked dolphins and several humpback whales we did not manage to identify all the humpback whales but we did manage to identify our old friend from 2017 a humpback called Arnar.

Harbour Porpoises were spotted on all departures throughout the day.
