Strong southernly winds were blowing all over Iceland on this Monday. Thankfully, the beautiful mountains surrounding Eyjafjorður provided us with enough shelter so that we could go out and look for whales in the morning and in the afternoon. All day we found a busy feeding humpback whale to the south of Hrisey. It turned out to be an old friend of ours named ´Cosmo´. How fun to see this individual again and in healthy condition, meaning it looks really fat. For humpback whales in general one could say the fatter, the better. Let´s see if Cosmo has come to stay around for longer.
