Breach!! That was the first thing we saw today! We were on our way out still close by to Akureyri when all of the sudden a big splash appeared right in front of us yet still quite far away. We rushed to get closer and saw few more tail slaps but when we finally got closer the whale raised up the tail and went for a deeper dive. Today we saw 7 Humpback whales, very relaxed, few even came close by the boat curious of us. A cherry on top was a pair of Humpbacks that was surfacing and diving synchronized just like they would be dancing, simply beautiful.
