Windy but such an adventurous day in the fjord! Today we had rather a challenging tour - right from the start, after few stormy days we were keeping all the boats in the other harbour for safety reasons. This morning we started the tour with a small delay as one of the ropes holding the boat got stuck at the dock and it took us a longer while to detangle and release the boat which resulted in all of us leaving a little late. Finally out there, we had wind from every side and choppy ocean was not making it easy to spot the blows but we did! We found ourselves surrounded by 3 HUMPBACK WHALES!! Very relaxed, they were frequently coming to the surface and we could enjoy their company throughout the whole tour. The wind was picking up and we sailed back to Akureyri, cold but happy!
