What a day!! 5 HUMPBACK WHALES!!

Today we sailed out under a cloudy sky but having perfect sea conditions - the fjord was completely flat and the snowy mountains looked just stunning. On our way out we got a phonecall from a boat further out in the fjord that was a sighting of a Humpback whale so we rushed to check it out. On the spot - just south of Hrisey we found 3 Humpback whales travelling together. What an exciting beginning of the year - today we had an incredible encounter with 3 whales travelling together! At some point one of the whales was tail slapping and it very much looked like some underwater interaction with another whale as throughout the whole tour the two were coming up very close to each other.We spotted few more blows in the north that we didn't approach today but simply can't wait to go out there again!
