Last day of the year was full of great sightings! Today our harbour was still too frozen for us to bring the boat all the way to the pier so we sailed out from Port of Akureyri and arranged transportation for everyone who needed. We had some wind from the north and sailing on the way out was not the smoothest but it got better on the way back. We found 2 Humpback whales!! just south of Hrisey Island. One of the visitors was a whale we know quite well from this year - Prince Charles! was active and feeding together with a new whale in the area. Both kept us company throughout the whole tour. We thought there might have been a third one close by but we lost the track of him and no pictures captured good id features to be sure. Hopefully next year!
