The weather was great once again. The harbour was covered in fog, which lifted quickly. A little wind from the south was throughout the day. The sea was flat and only had some small wind waves.
We encountered a very familiar Humpback Whale named Aretha Frankfin, just south of Hrisey. Actually at the same spot we saw the other 5 Humpbacks 2 days ago. Aretha was lunge feeding a little bit.
We maybe saw another blow further south, but didnt see it on the way back.
But we did encounter 1 Minke Whale.
You never know what you’ll find on the way back to Akureyri.
