Today, we sailed out in slightly warmer, but windy conditions with some swell.
We got rewarded very soon, as we spotted the first Humpback Whale blow just outside of Svalbarðseyri! It was a nice surprise to see this whale this far inside our fjord.
At first, this whale was a little tricky to spot when resurfacing. But it turned the encounter around very quickly when it started breaching! For at least the next hour, this Humpback Whale did not stop showing off. We got to see pec slapping, tail slapping as well as countless of breaches!!! The whale simply breached over and over again close to our boat.
This was absolutely phenomenal and it was a truly exceptional tour.
