Whale hello there! Today, we sailed out in cold and snowy conditions.
It was good to sail here in Eyjafjörður anyway and we were rewarded as soon as we spotted the first blow south of Hrísey! There we encountered one Humpback Whale, which resurfaced in the area several times, slowly heading north. The whale even came up for a breath super close to our boat! It was incredible to see this and we were able to watch this Humpback Whale come up for a number of breaths! What a great encounter!
