Hello everyone! Despite the rain and the wind that we had mainly in the morning tours, we managed to see 3 different species of cetaceans in Eyjafjörður. 5 minutes after departure we were surrounded by a group of harbour porpoises, although they normally behave quite shy with us, we were able to see them close. The second species of the trip was a Humpback whale that we found by the town of Hjalteyri, as it was spending too much time under the water we were able to spot it just once, but very close so it was an amazing encounter! Then on the way back to Akureyri we spotted our third species, a minke whale! During the afternoon trip, it was still raining half of the trip but the wind allowed us to sail more comfortably. This time we saw a Humpback whale by Hjalteyri again, thanks to its characteristic fluke we knew it was the same individual than this morning, and we were very lucky and could had very nice sightings of the humpy.
