We spent a beautiful day in the fjord!
It was a rather cold day with some rain and even snow showers during the day, but we had good overall sailing conditions.
On our tours today, we spotted Harbor Porpoises as well as three Minke Whales and four Humpback Whales! The fjord is full of wildlife!
We encountered the first two Minke Whales just north of Akureyri and ventured on to Hjalteyri. One Humpback was located just south of Hjalteyri, while we spotted three more Humpback Whales and one Minke north of Hjalteyri. The Humpback Whales north of Hjalteyri were feeding actively at the surface! Such a stunning view!
We had amazing tours and super, super close encounters today. One of the Humpbacks was additionally tail slapping!
