The wind today was once again coming from the South West, however, a much weaker intensity than yesterday. There were spells of sun and mixed cloud cover.

In total, today in the fjord, we saw 4 different Minke Whales and 6 Humpback Whales. The Minkes were generally spread across the fjord from the Green Buoy to Rauðavik. The Humpbacks were all situated a little further North, all being from Hjalteyri upwards. The main Humpback spent with the morning and afternoon tour was slowly travelling around, consistently surfacing in a 3 breath pattern and rarely lifting the fluke.

Piccolo, our favorite whale, decided to pop up 2 meters in front of our Rib boat and made everyones heart stop for a brief moment. What an encounter!
