A beautiful Wednesday in the fjord.
The morning was sunny, with barely any wind, which made the whale-watching conditions optimal. We saw 3-4 Humpback whales between Grenivik and Hauganes. We were able to recognize a few whales that have been coming into the fjord to enjoy the food for a few years now, such as Piccolo. On our way back to Akureyri, we saw one beautiful Minke Whale in front of Hjalteyri.
In the afternoon, we saw two Humpback whales as well as a Minke whale, north of Svarbarðseyri. We then headed north to try and see the whales we saw in the morning. They were all feeding very actively!
A lot of sightings and it was a great day to be on the water.
