It was a beautiful calm sunny morning as we sailed out into Eyjafjord, hopeful we might find some whales. We encountered several pods of Harbour Porpoises throughout our journey but they tend to be quite elusive and so we didn't stay with them for long before sailing further in hopes to find some bigger cetacean. The search went on, all the way north of the island of Hrísey where we heard news of a Humpback whale spotting yesterday. As whales are totally unpredictable and really don't tend to stick around in the same spot for too long, it didn't really come as a surprise that it wasn't waiting for us there.. We kept on looking and searching all around, but at no avail. Soon the tour came to an end and we ended up handing out complimentary tickets in hopes that our passengers have the chance to join our tour again within 2 years, in Akureyri or Reykjavík!
