A good way to start the new year is going out whale watching. Today we went out on one special tour at our 11 o‘clock boat ride. The wind blew only to remind us that we are in Iceland and it is still winter but our overalls kept us warm and comfortable. The sea condition was good and once we were close to Hrísey we encountered five humpback whales close together. One of them started greeting us with a gorgeous breach quite close to the boat, the rest entertained us with their presence. Tough Pella, Lopapeysa and Alli could be seen close enough so that we could identify them. A bit near Hrísey we encountered another humpback whale so on today's tour we saw six humpback whales. Amazing day yet again here in Eyjafjörður.
