We sailed out in cloudy conditions but the weather was not too cold. After an hour sail we found an area where there was apparently a lot of fish available and that is exactly what our whales are after. There were around 12 humpback whales in the area! Some were feeding by themselves but many of them were together with other whales. This season it does not happen often that we see this many whales together in one area, so this was a wonderful surprise.
It was wonderful to see the whales moving together and diving synchronized. Many of the whales came up very close to the boat and some even seemed to check us out. Turning and moving towards the boat and having a closer look.
An incredible day with amazing sightings!
