We sailed out with cloudy conditions and the wind was quite cold. After an hour sailing we came to a good feeding area. On our fish finder we noticed there was a lot of fish around and there were quite a few humpback whales. We noticed three whales swimming together and at least two other whales in the area moving alone. One of the whales was an individual we know very well, its name is Cascade. Last year Cascade had very clear scarring on its body that we think were caused by fishing lines or a net that it had been entangled in. This year most of these scars have healed very well which is very nice to see.
The whales were moving around the boat coming up very close several times. A great day with these beautiful whales.
