Another cold morning in Akureyri with great sea conditions. We sailed out having almost clear sky and no wind. The mountains in the fjord are getting more and more covered with snow so the landscape looks just stunning. We barely passed Hjalteyri area when we spotted our first blow. It was a Humpback whale that we know pretty well - Aretha Frankfin and we were able to admire this whale on both our tours today, active and feeding. In the afternoon tour we also found Iskona and our non-fluking whale but again we didn’t see the tail and he was rather shy around the boats today. 3 Humpback whales! Whole day was just amazing with the weather conditions and few of our passengers even asked if we have sunscreen on board! Amazing day to be out there.
Departures today: Classic 09:00 & 13:00
