Truly Iceladic winter in the Fjord today. We started the tour from Akureyri, sailing in slightly rough sea conditions. The sky was cloudy and the further we went the ocean seemed darker and conditions were getting harder - not only the sea was bumpy but it also started snowing and at some point we entered thick fog area which made spotting animals much harder. Luckily after a while of searching we managed to find not one but 2 Humpback whales! Active and feeding, we were able to follow Iskona and Aretha Frankfin for a longer while and with Iskona we even had 2 very close encounters when whale went for a dive just meters away from us!
Departures today: Classic 11:00
