Another winter day and our Humpback whale Iskona is still around! This time the whale came to greet us just when we were leaving the harbour area! We haven’t even got to the waterfall when the whale popped up just in front of us. It seems more common to see whales coming so close to town in the winter time rather than in the summer but it is mainly caused by the amount of fish we have here now. We had few amazing encounters with this Humpback whale as the area was completely filled with fish - literally our fish finder device was having troubles with measuring the depth as there was so much fish under us. Our whale was actively feeding and few times came up very close to the boat. Amazing day to be out there!
