Morning greeted us with cloudy and snowy weather. We sailed out from Akureyri on time and despite the snow and fog it didn’t took us more than half an hour to find a whale! It was a Humpback whale and again it was Iskona. Recently we had a visit of Icelandic research boat that was taking samples from the whales and one of the individuals they approached was our Iskona, so hopefully we’ll find out more about her soon. We spent a good hour with Iskona and had few very nice encounters when she popped up close to the boat. We sailed out north to check if maybe we’ll find some more wildlife out there but it was hard to spot animals in those conditions so we headed back to Akureyri.
