What a wonderful day out on the fjord! We had perfect conditions for our tour today, flat seas, no wind and reasonable temperatures. Our star humpback whale, Iskona was of course out to welcome us. This amazing whale gave us some spectacular surfacings today, coming up many times all around the boat. But today this whale decided to delight us with some spectacular behaviors and was actually bringing its rostrum or snout up first to break the ice before coming up with its head or blowholes as usual. This meant that today we got to see something incredibly rare which was super cool to witness. To top this the fjord in its perfect stillness, the plentiful bird life and the stunning scenery made this tour one of a kind.
