Looks like winter is far from leaving Akureyri - today we had amazing sea conditions but very limited visibility in the Fjord due to lots of snow. Luckily our whales don’t mind! It took us about half an hour to find a Humpback Whale just before Hjalteyri. The whale was very active and feeding close to the surface - he was going for rather short dives, but also staying less at the surface. It was again Iskona and two times we had very close encounter with her. On our way back we’ve seen lots of birdlife and stopped for a short warming up experience at the hot waterfall just before the harbour.
