Today we finally went out and experienced extreme version of icelandinc winter - freezingly cold temperatures out there reached -18 degrees in the Fjord. The harbour was completely frozen and we had to call an icebreaker to make a path for us. As the water was a lot warmer than the air it created lots of steam above the surface and we were struggling with visibility in the beginning of the tour. We went out all the way beyond Hauganes and we only spot a seal on the way that surprisingly popped just next to us. Unfortunately on the way back we also didn’t spot any whales so today gave away complimentary tickets to all our passengers and invited them to join us again for free. Hopefully we’ll have better conditions tomorrow!
