Another fantastic day out on the fjord today. The fjord was flat and partially frozen but that did not stop us from heading out. On our mornings adventurous tour we found 7-8 humpback whales near Hjalteyri who were surfacing all around us, there was never a dull moment as when one whale went down for a dive another one would surface! Our afternoon tours were even better, if that s possible as we were able to spot even more humpback whales 15 at least we think. Harbour porpoises also joined the whale watching festival as they popped up throughout the tour as did two minke whales north of Hjalteyri who were able to show us how different the species were from one another. A super beautiful and whale filled day!
