A challenging tour today! We spotted at least 2 Humpback whales and 2 Minke whales but they all seemed to be busy feeding and moving around a lot, making it hard to follow. They were all spreaded in the area between Hjalteyri and Green buoy. At first we spotted a Minke whale just on our way out beyond Svalbardseyri. The whale was very active and moving around a lot but we had few amazing encounters before we headed further north. We spotted two blows just beyond Hjalteyri, closer to the east side of the fjord. We decided to focus on one of them and meanwhile another Minke whale joined us! We enjoyed the company of both whales til the end of the tour. Great day to be out there!
