Cloudy and rainy day in the fjord but such an amazing day to be out there! This morning we sailed all the way to Hrisey to find 2 amazingly relaxed Minke whales and there was a BREACH!! Both whales were breaching and it happend so quickly we didn’t manage to capture it on the camera. Such a spectacular and rare sighting to see! We were very excited to go out again in the afternoon when the weather got a bit more difficult but we found a very relaxed Humpback whale just south of Hjalteyri and had few incredible encounters. A wonderful bonus of the day were Puffins! We’ve seen plenty of puffins on the water today!
