Yet another beautiful sunny day here in Akureyri. Our day was quite an eventful one, our 09:00 departure left as usual but unfortunately due to some engine issues we had to turn back, therefore passengers were transfer to other tours. Our engineers were working flat out to ensure the boat was fixed for the 13:00 departure. All fixed and ready we again set sail but again we had some more issues, so we transferred our passengers to a rib and went on a jolly adventure and found a pod of 6-7 wonderful white-beaked dolphins ans some harbour porpoises. Who delighted us with some nice surfacings. Our 10:00 express fared a lot better and was able to find an amazing humpback whale, and not just any one at that. They found an individual called “Cousteau” after the french biologist and film maker. Cousteau was first recorded in the fjord in 2016. It´s always incredible to welcome back an old friend!
