This morning the fjord was flat as a mirror and we sailed out having beautiful clear sky and warm weather so there was no need to wear overalls! It took us about 30min to find a Humpback whale and it turned out to be a whale we know well already - Snaedis is back! This individual was frequently seen in the fjord in May and until it left the fjord in the beginning of June after being badly tagged by an unknown to us research team. We had a lot of great encounters with this whale both on the morning and in the afternoon tour, the tag was gone from the whales body and the wound that we noticed back in June looked much better. It’s a great privilege to see and study these beautiful animals and we are incredibly happy to see this whale back again.
