Good evening! We had a great day in Eyjafjörður today! The weather was sunny and calm in the morning and the wind picked up a bit in the afternoon, but we still had very good whale watching conditions!
On each of our tours today, we spotted three Humpback Whales in the area of the green buoy. They were repeatedly surfacing around us and we had two extremely close encounter with one of them! It was amazing! We also spotted two Minke Whales in the same area a bit further west on all of our tours today.
As we were heading back towards Akureyri on our afternoon tour, we saw a Humpback Whale BREACH! What an incredible way of ending the day! As always, we are super excited for our tours tomorrow.
